Patricia Norins

Partner / Storyteller

For nearly 30 years, Patricia has been helping shopping center developers and brands boost profits by implementing creative sales, marketing, and advertising strategies. Retail real estate is in Patricia’s DNA, she’s a fourth-generation retailer. Her family pioneered a number of industry firsts including first to recognize the value of adding retail to empty common area space, and first to launch a third-party specialty leasing company where they fully developed and created specialty leasing programs for nearly every major developer in the country.

Patricia continued this proud family tradition when she founded the first industry trade publication, Specialty Retail Report, and the first shopping center advertising and sponsorship conference. Patricia also developed the first specialty leasing designation that was adopted as the industry gold standard for training and accreditation. She also launched SPREE, the world’s largest specialty retail conference. In addition, Patricia has served as spokesperson for premier platforms such as American Express’s Small Business Saturday and continues to be recognized as the leading authority in the specialty retail industry, routinely appearing in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. She sold her business to the International Council of Shopping Centers prior to co-founding Blue Butterfly.

When she’s not busy consulting for companies in the retail real estate space, Patricia is dedicated to mentoring up-and-comers and giving back to the community, which includes co-teaching MBA classes.

Patricia brings a strategic perspective to every Blue Butterfly project. In her role as Storyteller, she loves to infuse innovative marketing strategies and tactics with leading industry practices to help clients creatively tell their brand story.

Judy Craighead

Vice President, Business Development / Master Gardener

Judy has been a leader in shopping center marketing and business development for more than 30 years. She’s truly our Master Gardener, using her diverse expertise to dig up new opportunities to help clients grow.

Judy began her career in the industry at the Jacobs Group. Her talent for mall management was clear from the start, and she soon became Regional Marketing Manager. She also volunteered as State Operations Director for ICSC, combining her SCMD and CMD certifications with professional experience to help teach at ICSC’s Marketing Institute and score the CMD exam.

When CBL Properties acquired a portion of the Jacobs portfolio in 2001, Judy was asked to oversee a team of 15 mall marketing managers for properties throughout the Midwest.  This led to her role as Regional Director and later Senior Director of Brand Development, helping to turn the newly formed brand department into a multimillion-dollar revenue stream.  She ultimately served as Vice President of Business Development at CBL’s corporate headquarters before joining Blue Butterfly.

Judy and her husband of 33 years recently moved back to their hometown of Cleveland, OH.  She’s a passionate supporter of United Way, previously serving as a campaign chairperson for the organization.  When not supporting clients or championing causes, Judy enjoys music, travel, football and, of course, gardening.
